Laurie Bond is the Co-Founder and President of the Bond Pacific Foundation.  She was born and raised in southern California.  After graduating high school in 1974,  her grandparents invited her to spend the summer with them in Alaska and it’s been her home ever since.  Laurie met her husband, Stuart, the following year and together they opened North Country Jeans, the first of many businesses they would own together.

During her 40+ years in Anchorage, Laurie has served the Anchorage community in a variety of capacities.  Active in both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, she served as a troop  leader, as well as training others for both organizations.  Volunteering regularly at her children’s schools, she was also the treasurer for Inlet View Elementary and West Anchorage High School PTSA’s. Currently she is the treasurer for the Alaska Metal Arts Guild as well as a board member for her community housing Co-Op.

Semi-retired from their family business, when she’s not working, Laurie is passionate about creativity and artwork. As a trained metalsmith, she loves making jewelry, Her other joys include traveling (especially Iceland) spending time with family, and playing with their two family golden retrievers, Chelsea and Lilja.
